Today is Remembrance Day for the fallen

Last week was Holocaust Remembrance Day remembering our 6 million that perished in the Holocaust. Today, we remember our fallen, which to me includes not only all of our soldiers that fell, but, also all of those murdered in terrorist attacks and on the roads and other ways they have died. At 11 am today the siren will go off here in Israel and we stop and stand in silence to remember our fallen. I will bend my head in silence and ask G-d to help all of those that have lost someone to get through this day and all the days of their lives. If you would like to help us here in Israel honor them then take a moment or two of silence to remember them either when our siren goes off at 11 am Israel time or whenever you would like during the day.
Thank you.

Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day

Here in Israel at 10 am the siren goes off today for all of here to stand in silence for a minute or two in remembrance for our 6 million that perished in the Holocaust. Wherever you are throughout the world please sometime during the day just take a minute or two on Holocaust Remembrance Day to remember our 6 million Jews that perished and if there is someone you know that perished then remember them too.
Thank you,
Hanni in Jerusalem, Israel

Mitzi and I sharing a piece of matza together and friends I have met here

Mitzi and I sharing a piece of matza together.

Now I would like to introduce you to some friends I have met here:

This is Brinley. He would be at one of the pet shops I go to.

This is Goliah. He belongs to someone that used to cut my hair. He is very cool and we became very good friends. He was always happy to see me when I came.

This is Shelig or Eden, her sister, that lives in the house opposite our building. I met Eden once. They are twins. Shelig and I are very good friends. Shelig means snow in Hebrew.

Now last but not least two of my favorite friends.
This is me when I was about 6 years old and I am sitting with my dog Carli and my cat Mitzi. Most of you have seen Mitzi, but, you have not seen Carli. Carli was a very cool dog. She was a laborador -husky. She was very protective of Mitzi. Carli passed away a long time ago and now it is Mitzi.
So, I hoped you enjoyed watching Mitzi and I share a piece of matza and also enjoyed meeting some of my friends.
I need to clear something up in this last picture. I didn't have Mitzi or Carli when I was young. They are both from my adult life. Sorry, didn't explain before. I hope this clears up any question or questions you may have had regarding when I got my animals.

Now, this is the right picture to use with my animals. I just thought a little kid with animals would be cute, but, then I didn't have either Carli or Mitzi when I was young. So, sorry about that and this is the right picture to use.

I also have to include my humans friends I have met throughout the years here in Israel in my blog. I can't leave them out.

Here is one of them now:

This is Danny. When he is not hugging a tree, he is teaching Tai chi among other things. Danny, good work holding up the tree. Keep it up!

This is Linda. She is one of my facebook friends and she is sitting on a camel near the Dead Sea here in Israel. I wonder how fast he can go?

I am back with 2 more friends to introduce you to.

Here they are:

This is Emily. She is one of my facebook friends and she is taking a few moments to relax on her couch before she has to get up and do whatever it is that she has to do. Enjoy your relaxing time Emily.

This is Sarah. She is another facebook friend of mine. She is doing something she lives to do, being or working in her garden with her pets.
What a beautiful garden you have Sarah.

This is Miriam. She is another facebook friend of mine. She sends me funny things to pass on to others. She lives in Florida. How is the weather there Miriam? Happy Passover to you.

This is Devorah. You can find her now in Phoenix. If you think you see her in Jerusalem, that could be. She could be visiting family here.

Mitzi would like to tell you about who she wants at her seder

Hi, this is me looking for Mitzi to make sure I can hide her afikomen present before she sees it.

This is Mitzi and she is looking for her pillow. I have it and am going to hide her cat kit underneath it.

I can't let Mitzi see her pillow then she will find her cat kit present underneath it when she moves the pillow. I have to find a place to hide it.

Mitzi would like to have some kind of seder and invite the following to it:

This is Simon, Theodore and Alvin and Mitzi would like them at the seder.

Mitzi would like this little guy at the seder too. He will be very good and follow along.

Mitzi would also like this guy to be there.

And last but not least Mitzi wants Grandma there.

So, I had better get started and figure out what we will do.
Take care and have a very good Passover all of you that celebrate it.
