Hello and welcome to Hanni's Blog

I would like to tell you a little bit about myself.

I grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota and made Aliya in November 1986. I have been here a little over 25 years. I have done a variety of things since I have been here. I did not find what I really wanted to do until a little over 5 years ago. I used to make Rosh Hashana cards from a program someone gave me. They were horrible, but, I thought maybe I could take a computer graphics course to learn how to do it better. At first I found the course very hard and then the one program I thought was so hard is a favorite of mine. I was working at a Thrift Shop and it closed down so I decided to go out into the public and see what they thought of what I make. I sold at AACI's yard sales and really didn't do so well, except when they had it at the zoo. I tried other places as well. A little over 5 years ago I approached the person in charge of selling at Israel Center and the rest is history. It was not smooth sailing in the beginning. People had to get to know me and see that I would be staying and not coming for a short period of time and disappear on them like others have done. I learned a lot from the people I sell to and besides things I make I also go out and buy things. I have built up a clientele there. I started making power point presentations to show things I make and buy. I have a website, which I would like you to take a look at: www.hannisgifts.com.

You can find me in the lobby of Israel |Center, in Jerusalem, Rehov Hayesod #22, the building on the corner, across from The Dan Panarama Hotel.
