Ethiopians protesting their rights

There are bad and then there are those that riot inorder to make a point. This is the first I heard about the riots with the Ethiopians, but, not the first I heard about the police in Holon beating up a soldier. He is a Jew and a soldier and should not be treated the way he was treated by them. Instead of taking him to the policestation and treating him like a common criminal they should have taken him to the hospital. I know the police can be cruel and not come when you ask them to and want to interrogate you instead of doing their job, but, did not know that the soldier was an Ethiopian. The Ethiopians have just as much right to be here as anyone else. They are probably better Jews in some ways than others. They wanted to be here. But, they have not been absorbed into the country very well and have been called horrible names and put in the same category with others people that have black skin and are not Jewish. They are Jews and should be treated as such.
Our soldiers go to wars for us to protect not only their own family and friends, but, the whole entire country. We should be saying" thank you" to them and not beating them up, no matter if they are Ethiopian or from somewhere else and were not fortunate to be born here. If they were born here then they for sure should not be beaten up just because someone does not like the color of their skin.
My friend Marilyn gave me the idea of writing a post on this subject. She writes poems and something she said this morning inspired me to write this post. Marilyn, thank you so much.
I do not know if it a violent riot or not so cannot comment on that, but, all I can say is good for them for finally standing up for their rights and not sitting back and being pushed around any longer.
