Hanni would like to share with you her birthday journey

Hi Out There!
I would like you to enjoy what I did on my birthday with me. For those of you who know Israel it may be for you a
journey down memory lane and for those of you who have never been to Israel then hopefully it will give you some incentive to come and see Jerusalem. It is a very special and enchanting city.
So, no further ado here we go:

This was my first stop. Her name is Rachel. She is a very special lady and I buy all kinds of things from her, but, unfortunately she will be closing her store next month before Rosh Hashana. So, if you come to Jerusalem before next month and would like to check out her store just let me know. I will direct you to it or take you there in person. She has some really great things there.

Next on my special day I went to:

This is the new Hamashbir Department Store in Jerusalem. It is big and very beautiful inside. I asked the security guards if I could take a picture and before I know it the guy standing at the doorway came out and they all surrounded me. He wanted to know what I was doing. I told him that they said it was ok and he told me just the outside and not the inside. I told him I only wanted the outside. I will leave the inside up to all of you out there to go see.

Then I decided to go to the Old City. I have not been there in a long time and it was about time to go back and visit. This is the new court area leading to the Jaffa Gate.

Ok, now I am entering Jaffa Gate to go to the Jewish Quarter.

I am starting down the road to the opening I want to go through to get to the Jewish Quarter.

I will point out just one thing before I get to the spot I want to enter. This is the Police Station.

This is the opening I want to take. I go through St. James Road and go down all the winding ways.

Ok, we are at the stairs and ready to go down to the Jewish area of the Quarter. I hope you have kept up with me so far. I hope you are enjoying my day with me.

Ok, we are in the Jewish area of the Old City.

This is the recently rebuilt Hurva Synagogue. It is very special. This is the 2nd time I took a picture of it. The first time I could not move from my spot.

Now, we continue the day.

I saw these two children sitting on two of Jerusalem's lions and asked the parents if could take a picture. The lions actually had all this white on them and tried to do the best I could in cleaning it off. The sun was in my eyes so wasn't sure how to picture would turn out. It turned out nice. I hope the couple will like how it turned out.

This is the Menorah. I couldn't resist taking a picture of it.
We are getting closer to the end. Not much longer.

This is a view from going down the stairs to the Kotel.

I was getting tired by this time and decided just to take a picture of the Kotel on the stairs going down. I had no energy to go all the way down.

Now, I am very hungry so went in search of Berger Bar to get some food.

This was the guy at Berger Bar. I got my food and then I felt it was time to go home. I decided I would take the train.

Here is the train, but, this one is going the other way. I waited till mine came and went on home.

Pictured here is my little Mitzi waiting patiently for me to come home so she can get her special hug and kisses.

Thank you all for coming along on my day with me. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I have.
