It was founded on July 31, 1882. It is the 4th largest city in Israel. It is located along the central Israeli coastal plain 12 kilometers south of Tel Aviv. It is part of the Gush Dan metropolitan area.
Now on to the adventure. First of all I got on a bus at the Jerusalem bus station and sat down thinking maybe I could have the seats to myself. No such luck. This man was standing by my seat with a dog and asked if his lady friend could sit inside by the window. I got up to let her in and then he handed her the dog. The dog was a winer dog. It was very sweet. The ride was not comfortable and the dog sat on her and somewhat on me. It liked me and put its face so I would pet it. I did a couple of times. It had a little whiney cry and I don't know why that was. I asked if she travels with the dog all the time and she told me she does. I also asked if the dog enjoys the trips. She told me she does. I thought that the dog was uncomfortable. That is a long trip to sit in a cramped area. It was none of my business. It wasn't my dog. I asked her if the
bus goes to the bus station and she told me it does. I thought there was only one bus station. What do I know. I haven't been there in ages. Boy, did I find out the hard way. I got off the bus looking for an entrance to the bus station and found that it was the old one and there was no information booth to tell me how to get to Ikea. I asked people and got several answers. One or maybe a few said I can only take a cab. I didn't believe them and was about to give up, but, actually I didn't know where the bus was to go back to Jerusalem. I was determined to get to Ikea. I crossed the street to the other side, and walked along and saw some cabs and then saw some guys sitting there and asked how much to Ikea. They told me a price and then I asked how long a ride. They told me 10 minutes and I said, "that much money for 10 minutes." In the cab I mentioned again that the price was ridiculous and driver was going to raise it so I settled for the amount they said. He then had to let me know how much it costs to take care of the cab. We then discussed Jerusalem and that wasn't any better. We got to Ikea and I got out and could not get over the building. It was so big. I was getting very excited.

I went inside and it was huge inside also. It was interesting and glad I went, but, it was not what I expected. There was lots of furniture, but, to tell you the truth I would not go all the way out there for furniture. We have nice stores in Jerusalem too. I went and saw, but, not sure I would like to go back again.
I had a time of getting out of the store. I had to ask a few times where the excit was.

This is the Ikea store in Rishon Lezion. You can see in the picture how big it is on the outside. The store opened in March of 2010. Rishon Lezion was chosen for the location because it is centrally located so people from Jerusalem and elsewhere can get there.
After I left the store I took a bus this time instead of a cab to the new bus station. It was nice. I wandered around and saw a toy store and had to go inside. I was in 7th heaven. When I left the toy store I decided I wanted to get something to eat. I looked around at the food counters and was looking for a certificate to tell me if they were kosher or not. I saw McDonald's sign that said it was kosher, but, not a certificate. I passed on that. I went up to the chinese one and ordered a coke a cola and french fries. The guy kept looking at me, probably waiting to see if I would ask and I didn't. I paid for my food and drink and started to go wait for the bus back to Jerusalem. I noticed someone motioning me and went over to see what he wanted. He then told me that the food counter I was just at had no certificate whatsoever so who knows if the fries were kosher or not. I then asked him about the cola. He told me I can drink that. I then threw out the fries and decided that was enough of Rishon Lezion for me and headed to wait for the bus back to Jerusalem, where I know if something is kosher or not and if don't there are plenty of other places to eat, especially one, my home which I know is kosher. The bus came and I got on and hoped I would not have to sit next to anyone and would have an uneventful ride home. I didn't have to sit next to anyone, but, it wasn't uneventful. This family got on and one of the boys decided he wanted to climb up to the back door and I happened to be sitting by the back door and he somehow stepped on my foot. I yelled and he apologized. After 1 hour about 20 minutes later we finally reached the bus station in Jerusalem. I could hardly wait to get off the bus and kiss the ground. Don't worry, I didn't, but I was so happy to be back in familiar surroundings and not far from my home with my little cat. I was very tired and it was an exhausting trip, but, I had to make one more stop before I went home. I hopped on the train and got off at my stop and then checked something and went home to check the mail there and then went upstairs to say hi to my little cat to let her know I was so happy to be home with her. The next time I decide to venture out of my surroundings I want to know the correct information and get directly to my destination and enjoy it and then come back home.
Thank you all for sharing in this adventure with me. I hope it wasn't as tiring or exhausting for you as it was for me.
