I read that we are going to have a earthquake drill in Israel today (Sunday, Oct. 21st). It will be at 11 am and 7 pm. It will distrupt TV programs, radio, etc. It said it will be texting what to do. What is one does not know about texting or doesn't have a cell phone? How will they know?
What if you are walking or driving in your car? I have already experienced what an earthquake is like. I was in a course and all of a sudden everything started to shake. It was scarey.
So, I want to wish everyone here in Israel good luck today and stay safe or as safe as you can.
Remember this is a drill. For those of you that have never experienced a real one, it isn't fun.
I never to my knowlege experienced one till I was living here quite awhile. I grew up in the Midwest with tornadoes and really bad winters. I remember a place that I was working at they would not let us go home till there was an absolute blizzard, not like here. The first sign of snow things are closed and no school. I could not believe it. I was in a course and all of a sudden things were shaking and moving. I thought of my cat right away and hoped she was not scared at home. I went home and things were fine. So, whatever you are doing at 11am today find a place that will be safe.
