Hello all today Thursday,, April 19th is Israel's 70th Birthday.

Welcome to Hann's blog on Israel's 70th Birthday:

|Hello everyone. My friend Aviva did this video. I lit a muffin in honor of Israel's 70 birthday and same Happy Birthday.

My friend Aviva also did this video. It is of our Sting Bridge not far from me all lit up for Israel's 70th. Amazing isn't it?

Isn't this amazing. Aviva also took this picture of the String Bridge with Stars of David on it going up. It was so cool. I forgot my phone at home so she sent this to me.
I could stare at that all day and all night.

So, you saw two videos and a picture of the String Bridge and that is not all.

Next, I would like to introdue to you a special poem I asked a friend of mine to do in honor of this occasion:
A poem for Israel's 70th by Marilyn G. Scarl

Here goes:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARLING
you are our dream
you are what we live for
you promised
you delivered
we'll always be grateful 'n indebted
you took a desert 'n
turned it into fruit
you took a people
starving to be free
'n were never
disappointed
but rewarded with
love 'n admiration
from every nook 'n
cranny of the globe
your existence makes
us feel a kinship
with our beloved people
a warmth like a devoted
parent or grandparent
that we are safe in your arms

long may you live
may your fondest wish come true
YOM HULEDET SAMEACH
long may you live

poem suggested by my dear Israeli friend: Hanni Harel

I want to say thank you so much Marilyn for that. It was very very beautiful.

My Sophie is trying to get my attention because she wants me to tell Israel Happy Birthday from her.

Here she is:

Meow Meow Meow, what she is telling you that she wishes Israel a Happy 70th Birthday.
Thank you Sophie.

Now, I would like to introduce you my friend Aviva. We had a picnic for Yom Ha'atzmaut with the flags around us trying to eat us up but we tied one and it stayed. Aviva took this picture of the two of us sitting on my porch having a picnic.

This is us having a fun time on Yom Ha'atzmaut and Aviva did the selfie of us. Didn't it turn out nice?
That concludes our day and the way we spent Israel's Independence Day.
I hope you that celebrated had a good time too.
May we have many more days like that.

In conclusion I want to wish all of Israel a very Happy 70th birthday.

Thank you.

  1. That is beautiful, Hanni. Happy Birthday, Israel. I will see you soon. The lights in the building are wonderful. I like the blue and white colors. Hi to Sophie. <3
